It started devoid of color or personality. I added a greige wall color, a cream and teal patterned rug, white, dark brown and wood furniture, and lots of pops of deep teal and green. I used contrasting colors and different textures to make the room come alive.

I started with the 90's anemic oak cabinets and, yes, that is seafoam green laminate countertops! I replaced the appliances, painted the cabinets white, the island blue, added new hardware, a marble backsplash, and replaced the countertops with quartz. The room was completed with updated lighting and wrapping the beam with wood!
